TRAVERSE CITY, Mich (February 2008) — Grand Bay Building and Remodeling, LLC is pleased to announce that Victor Lisabeth has been nominated for the National Home Builders Association (NAHB) Graduate Master Builder (GMB) Designee of the Year award.

Lisabeth, co-owner of Grand Bay Building and Remodeling, was nominated by the Home Builders Association of the Grand Traverse Area (HBA-GTA), an affiliate of the NAHB and the Michigan Association of Home Builders. The GMB Designee of the Year will be announced at the International Home Builders Show in Orlando, Fla. during February 13-16.

The ultimate symbol of the building profession, the GMB Designee of the Year recognizes experienced builders who demonstrate an elevated image in their community by mentoring fellow builders to advance their professional designation; bringing the graduate designation program to their builders association; and practicing innovative ways to promote their business.

Since transferring to the HBA-GTA in 2005, Lisabeth is credited with expanding the array of building courses offered in the Grand Traverse area from 20 to more than 200 in 2007.

Increasing educational opportunities continues to be a high priority for Lisabeth in his current positions as the First Vice President of the HBA-GTA and Chairperson of the Education Committee.

Lisabeth earned his GMB designation in 2004, which distinguishes veteran builders who have attained the Certified Graduate Builder (CGB) or Certified Graduate Remodelor (CGR) designation; or have successfully completed three courses and have at least 10 years of building business experience.

Lisabeth has more than 30 years of experience in residential construction and remodeling. In 2007, Lisabeth served as Second Vice President of the Grand Traverse Area HBA, and Chairperson of the Remodelors Council and Chairperson of the Education Committee. In addition to being a GMB, Lisabeth is a CGR and a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS).
