GRAND BAY BUILDERS OWNER RECEIVES CAPS CERTIFICATION
Home Modifications for Aging in Place are Fastest Growing Segment in Home Remodeling Market
Traverse City, November 16, 2006 – Victor Lisabeth, owner of Grand Bay Builders, has completed all the requirements to earn the Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) designation. The CAPS program was created in 2002 by the National Association of Homebuilders and has since become its most sought-after course. CAPS focuses on universal design in remodeling and new construction, rather than just accessibility. Catering to older adults or handicapped individuals who prefer to stay in their own homes and be independent, safe and comfortable, the program incorporates design principles that emphasize practicality and user-friendliness without sacrificing style.
Lisabeth has over 30 years of experience in residential construction and, in addition to his CAPS designation, is a Certified Graduate Remodelor (CGR) and Graduate Master Builder (GMB). His wife and business partner, Nancy, is also a licensed builder.
Grand Bay Builders, located at 12719 S. West Bayshore Drive in Traverse City, specializes in custom-crafted homes, residential renovations and design/build projects. For more information, phone 231.995.9057.
